The ZumbaŽ programme was created in the 1990s by Colombian native Alberto "Beto" Perez, a celebrity fitness trainer and choreographer for international pop superstars.
The ZumbaŽ programme was actually the result of a "happy accident". One day Beto forgot to take his music to class, so he grabbed what was in his car - a mix of Latin ryhthms that he grew up listening to and loving. He improvised the entire class, and the ZumbaŽ Fitness-Party was born.
Since Beto brought the ZumbaŽ Fitness programme to the U.S. in 1999, it has exploded worldwide. Taught in more than 140,000 locations and over 150 countries, more than 14 million weekly participants of all ages are inspired by its upbeat, contagious spirit.
It has become a huge fitness success, with people of all ages falling in love with its infectious music, easy-to-follow dance moves and body-beautifying benefits.

ZUMBA is for all ages and fitness levels. We demonstrate
both the high and low impact options for each routine we
do and we also repeat a programme of moves for several
weeks at a time to enable you to get used to them.
It is up to you how much energy you want to put into the
class - but be warned - the energy levels are contagious so
you may not be able to resist taking it to the higher level :)
